Discontinuation of Oregon Small Group Transitional Plans

OregonAs you may know, the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation is no longer allowing health insurance carriers to renew transitional plans, also known as grandmothered plans. Our Oregon small group clients currently on these plans (both medical and dental) will be mapped to an ACA-compliant plan that is similar to their current plan. We will also be notifying their covered employees of this change, as required by federal law.

Note: this change does not affect your large group or individual clients, as none are on transitional policies.

Affected group clients will receive renewal packets containing a Plan Discontinuance notice at least 60 days prior to the renewal date as required. As always, the agent of record will receive a copy of the packet.
