Alternative care contracting changes for some Oregon and Washington providers

Effective March 1, 2024, alternative care providers contracted through The CHP Group will no longer be considered in-network. Instead, PacificSource will begin contracting directly with alternative care providers in Oregon and Washington.

Recontracting with PacificSource

To continue participating with PacificSource after February 29, 2024, alternative care providers currently contracted through CHP must contract directly with PacificSource.

PacificSource is committed to providing members with access to a broad network of alternative care providers, and we encourage providers to contract with us on a direct basis. Our Contracting team will contact providers to ensure member care is not disrupted. Providers who do not sign a direct Commercial and Medicare agreement with PacificSource will be considered non-participating effective March 1, 2024.

CHP-affiliated providers who have not heard from PacificSource should contact our Contracting team at PNORC@PacificSource.com.

Reason for this decision

PacificSource is committed to providing an exceptional experience for our providers, and we believe in this case it is best accomplished through direct contracts. Our decision to contract directly for Commercial and Medicare aligns with our other contracting efforts, and it will positively impact our providers’ experience. This decision does not affect Medicaid contracts.

Reminder about credentialing

All PacificSource participating providers must meet our credentialing requirements. Providers who have have not been credentialed with us will need to submit a credentialing application, which we will prioritize. If you were previously credentialed with PacificSource, a new application is not necessary.

Please contact our Credentialing department for more information at Credentialing@PacificSource.com.
