Idaho update: the special enrollment period has been extended through April 30

Applications received April 1–30 will have an effective date of May 1, 2021. 

This applies to: 

  • New and existing enrollees
  • On and off the Exchange

No proof of prior coverage will be needed.

Note about changing plans 

Existing Exchange members can change plans with their current insurance carrier during this time. However, individuals who are already enrolled on the Exchange will not be allowed to change to a plan offered by a different insurance carrier during this timeframe unless they also have a qualifying life event.

Expanded eligibility for financial assistance

Individuals and families may be newly eligible for Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTC) if earning over 400% of the federal poverty level, or may be eligible for greater APTC if earning less that 400% of the federal poverty level.
