Clearinghouse services provided by Change Healthcare have been mostly restored, including eligibility status, remittance advice, and claims transmission, following a February cybersecurity event. Paper claims are still discouraged.
Change Healthcare is a valued PacificSource partner, and we are pleased that their systems are back online. We also partner with several other clearinghouses, which continue to be available to providers. You can find a full list of clearinghouses on our Medical Claims Guidelines page.
Change Healthcare reported that the cyberattack caused a data breach. We have not yet determined the impact to our member data. Change Healthcare will notify PacificSource members regarding the breach if it is determined our members' data was impacted.
