NeighborImpact’s Mini Mobile brings fresh food and resources closer to Central Oregon

NeighborImpact has a new way to bring fresh food and essential resources directly to people across Central Oregon. PacificSource helped fund the purchase of the nonprofit’s new Mini Mobile, which will deliver fruits and vegetables through Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) services, serve as a mobile pantry, and support disaster response efforts.

Meeting people where they are

Access to nutritious food and other essential resources plays an important role in health, but barriers like transportation and cost can make them harder to reach. The Mini Mobile helps NeighborImpact meet people where they are. The vehicle will:

  • Deliver fresh produce through HRSN nutrition services
  • Serve as a mobile pantry across Central Oregon
  • Provide food, water, and other essential supplies during emergencies

"Getting to healthy food shouldn't depend on where you live or whether you have a ride," said Molly Heiss, Deputy Executive Director of Community Services at NeighborImpact. "The Mini Mobile lets us bring fresh fruits and vegetables right to the people who need them, and when disaster hits, it can go where our bigger trucks can't. We're grateful to PacificSource for helping make that possible."

Building on a longstanding relationship

The Mini Mobile builds on PacificSource’s longstanding relationship with NeighborImpact, which has included support for Head Start, a program that promotes children’s health and development through early education, health screenings, nutrition, and family services. In 2026, NeighborImpact was also selected as a Charity of Choice, an annual program where PacificSource employees in each region select a community organization to support through company funding and employee volunteer opportunities.

“Our relationship with NeighborImpact reflects our shared commitment to helping people access the resources they need to be healthy and thrive,” said Leslie Neugebauer, Vice President, Medicaid and Community Health, PacificSource. “The Mini Mobile is a great example of finding practical ways to bring those resources closer to people across Central Oregon.”
