As part of our annual anti-flu campaign, PacificSource is asking for your help in conveying the importance of getting vaccinated against influenza—a dangerous illness that affects millions each year.
Who should get a flu shot? According to the CDC, flu vaccines are recommended for everyone six months and older. Those at higher risk for flu include:
- Pregnant women
- Young children
- Adults over 65
- People with asthma
- People with heart disease
You can send a strong message that flu shots are a good idea for members, their loved ones, and their communities. As one of our upcoming Facebook posts puts it, “Flu is spread from person to person. So is kindness. Do your part. Get your flu shot.”
For PacificSource members, getting vaccinated is easy—and costs them nothing. They can bring their member ID to any in-network pharmacy, including Sav-on/Albertsons, Costco, CVS, Fred Meyer, Kroger, and Safeway.
Members can search for in-network pharmacies near them here at our website. And employer groups can host on-site flu shot clinics for their employees.
