Oregon Governor Appoints PacificSource CCO Director to Health Plan Quality Metrics Committee

(SPRINGFIELD, Ore.) Mar. 30, 2017—PacificSource Health Plans announces that Oregon Governor Kate Brown has appointed Kristen Dillon, M.D., to the Oregon Health Authority’s (OHA) Health Plan Quality Metrics Committee. Dillon currently serves as PacificSource’s director of the Columbia Gorge Coordinated Care Organization and as Associate Medical Director (Medicaid). The committee, authorized by Senate Bill 440, has been created to align quality measures for multiple types of health plans over which OHA has authority.

“Kristen is an excellent choice for this committee,” said Lindsey Hopper, PacificSource vice president of Medicaid. “She’s deeply involved in improving health outcomes and wellness in the communities she serves through PacificSource. Kristen has many years of hands-on experience as a family physician. She knows firsthand the critical need for clarity around metrics in determining the overall effectiveness of quality improvement programs.”

The committee will be the single body to align health outcome and quality measures used in Oregon to ensure that the measures and requirements are coordinated, evidence-based, and focused on a long-term statewide vision. Committee members will review metrics provided by:

  • Coordinated care organizations
  • Health benefit plans sold through the health insurance exchange
  • The Oregon Educators Benefit Board
  • The Public Employees’ Benefit Board

Dillon will serve a minimum one-year appointment beginning in April 2017, with the possibility of reappointment.
