An emergency means care is needed right away to prevent loss of life or to treat severe injuries and symptoms. In cases like these, get help right away. Bring your member ID to the emergency room, and follow up with your doctor after your visit.

- Emergency services are covered 24/7.
- You don’t need pre-approval to go to a hospital in an emergency.
- Ambulance service is covered for one-way transportation during emergencies only. We also cover rides to healthcare appointments.

Dental emergencies
Your coverage includes treatment for dental health emergencies—things like:
- Extreme pain or infection
- Bleeding or swelling
- Injuries to the teeth or gum

If you’re having a mental health crisis or feel you might hurt yourself or someone else, call 911 or go to an emergency room.
