What to do: Call your your doctor. They will arrange for you to be seen.
Many doctors now provide telehealth visits by phone or video for your convenience.
Serious illness or injury
For things that are urgent but not life-threatening—infections, bronchitis, strep throat, sprains, fractures, burns, or other injuries: Call your doctor. Even after hours or on weekends, their office will help you get care.
You can also visit an urgent care center. Sometimes called “immediate care” or “primary care” clinics, these are covered by your plan. Bring your member ID with you, and follow up with your doctor after the visit, if needed. You can search our provider directory for an urgent care center.
Emergencies
For severe or life-threatening illness or injury—trouble breathing, poisoning, seizure, heart attack or similar—call 911 or go to the emergency room right away.
